Here’s a series of concept ads for a to-the-trade furniture showroom.
This client sells expensive furnishings from top designers at the high end of the market. We utilize web, direct mail, and trade ads to launch new lines. Over the last few years, the market has shifted to “transitional” pieces – furnishings that can work in homes that have a mix of traditional and modern styles. The client wanted to express this new direction in an elegant way. Scroll down for a few examples.
“YOU ARE HERE” – Expresses the idea of balance between classic and contemporary design, in a fun way that makes immediate sense, with a little style (scroll down for more examples):
CITY VS. COUNTRY: A line of furniture that evokes country, cottages, and lake houses – “Country, town or city”:
TIMELESS VS. CONTEMPORARY: Two important words for interior designers and their clients:
GREEN MERCHANDISING: The high-end market’s version of “green living” is often “reclaimed” – antique lumber that has been restored and re-used. Positioning this as something beyond “recycled” is key at these price points. And many reclaimed lumbers (such as timbers and structural pieces) are of sizes and species no longer available new, giving them rarity and cachè:
